Pehar Borna

Borna Pehar (1997) is an pianist and composer from Zadar (Croatia).

He finished primary and secondary music school in Zadar, after which he went to study classical music for one year in Mostar (BiH).
After the decision to stop with the classical academy he started studying jazz piano on Kärntner Landeskonservatorium in Klagenfurt, Austria in the class of Robert Bargad. After successfully completing his bachelor’s degree in Klagenfurt, he continued his master’s studies at the prestigious Music and Arts University of the City of Vienna (Musik und Kunst Privatuniversität der Stadt Wien).

He was a participant in various jazz workshops. One that he can single out was Jazz clinic in Velenje, where he participated three times and had a privilege to work and study with Danny Grissett, Joel Ross, Marko Churnchetz etc. In October 2019, he participated in the 8th Croatian Competition for Young Music Artists “Boris Papandopulo”, where his trio won the 2nd prize from the expert jury. He was also among the finalists for “Večernjakova domovnica”, in the music category, which was held in Frankfurt in 2020.
